I’d like to bring everyone up to date on a big change that has taken place. I founded Keyboard Instrument Rentals (KIR) in 1979 and now, after more than 40 years, I have retired. KIR has been acquired by Crossfire Sound, a major sound, lighting, and staging company located in Brooklyn that is expanding into complete backline rentals. I had the good fortune to meet Kyle Malenfant, owner of Crossfire, at just the right time, so that KIR would  not die with my retirement, but live on as my legacy.

     Kyle also recently acquired Jim Flynn Rentals, and I’ve known former Jim Flynn employees Eric W. and Gabby for many years. He also acquired dbm Pro Audio (Repairs & Technical Services), who I had used for repairs for many years. Crossfire has acquired most of my rental inventory and also has a huge inventory of sound, video, lighting and staging gear.  Having all this and a repair service department under one roof will be even better for my customers, as Crossfire will be able to address multiple needs with one stop shopping.  Feel free to take a look at Crossfire brands and their capabilities:

     So I knew some of these people already and have gotten to know Kyle, and want to assure my loyal customer base of 40 years that you are in good hands.
